Happy Spring!

Despite the fact that there is a thunderstorm rolling through my city, the potential for snow and the tornadoes ravaging through the Midwest this weekend, there are signs of spring everywhere.  I visited Minnespolis yesterday and the lilacs, trees and bulbs all seem to be about 3-4 weeks ahead of schedule.

There are signs of spring in the daylily field as well.  Leaves are beginning to show themselves, and the deer have been enjoying a few for lunch! (Deer management in another post...)

The farm will officially open on Sunday, May 27th, but it's not too soon to plan & pre-order.

From now through May 15th, there will be a 10% discount on all orders over $25.   Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Happy Spring!  dj

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog/website!   December may seem like an unusual time to write about daylilies, but in a few short months (ok, maybe a few more than a few), it will be gardening season.  It's never too soon to start planning, and doing so can help those long winter months seem to pass more quickly.

dj's daylilies will officially open for business in 2012, selling northern grown, northern hardy daylilies.  The farm will be open late June through early September, so consider planning a visit!   Plants can also be shipped from June through August.   Look for a plant list and more information about daylilies soon.

In the meantime, enjoy the holidays, the opportunity to rest that winter provides, and join me in dreaming about daylilies!
